DigiTour in the Altona Museum, Hamburg

DigiKultur has created an innovative guide system to the farmhouse rooms – a DigiTour.

The Altona Museum collection of historic rooms is part of the oldest holdings of the facility. The rooms and their furnishings date back to the years between 1700 and 1850.

The tour offers information about aspects of farm life in each room. Main themes, such as heating, sleeping, working, and celebrating, are explained by references to the exhibits. There are many interesting details to discover: the painted scenes on the wall coverings, tiny tile pictures, or household tools encourage closer examination and astonishment.

The integrated floorplans help visitors find their way on many floors. They also allow access to all contents directly from the floorplan. Areas that have already been visited are marked on the plans.

The DigiTour color palette is derived from the museum’s corporate design. At the same time, it makes it easy to use all the functions.
